Just not worth it, i just wish we could get some of the gunman diehards to a few cia / pbi games.

TBH, having dealt with Gunman's lot at A2C, and seen their performance at D-Day, they do come across as being a bit, well, odd.

Definitely up for "Caen" but not the other one. £85 to play at Redditch is just too painful.

Sorry a few guys think the £85 is too much, Gunman prides itself on quality and value for money and we put a huge amount back into all our events in Pyro, props, senario and warm welcome.

I think £85 is a bargin, most modern events are £85 and all I hear from players that have gone to these events is where has our money been spent. At Gunman you can see where your money goes as we are dedicated to your weekends fun.

I hope this gives you the reasurance to still come matey, we have an awesome senario for the 'Road to Caen' weekend, the site is some 600acres with long roads all over it perfect for a columb of trucks to travel along.
Two days of 2ww action with consequences for both sides at Caen if their objectives aren't met.

I know the Redditch site only too well Josh, I helped build the bloody thing, so am fully aware of its' size. I was a paintball site manager there AND I ran airsoft games there as well (well before anyone else did and before politics put an end to it). No matter how much pyro and props you supply (good though I know they are!), I know that the sites' real owners (National Paintball Games)will want their cut, the person who pretends he owns the site will want his cut as well as he tries to jump on the WW2 bandwagon. THAT is what's put the cost up. It's not a question of money, I have more than enough to get by, it's a question of value for money, which I don't believe a game at Redditch (which is just another woodland paintball site) will give at £85 per head.

Anyway, I digress. As I said, myself and hopefully a few of the 9th SS crew will come along to the main Caen game for sure and I'm certain you'll lay on a great event for that.

Josh, you have been officially pwned. Big time.

BTW i've edited Brewupchaps reply in part to remove the allegation that Heide and I were making cheap shots and self promoting Lightning (which is balls as its a closed game...)

I wonder how Gunman will like it when posts are edited to take out their more forceful points?

I assume Joshs ability to delete posts has been removed?

It seems he doesnt like it and has realised he cant delete criticism now.

When i have time I'll move the discussion on pricing to a thread titled

'event pricing' or 'fair events pricing discussion'

Well, no worries, because I think Dave registered film-sim.co.uk!

I've not seen Dave on the forum for a week or so.

I've saved copies of the posts that you and Pete made so we can reinstate if necessary.

Gadge, I wouldn't edit out individual's posts. That's as bad as Josh deleting, if he does, of course. If he wants to make allegations about the games being too close then so be it. I'll just make the point back that it was Josh who broke this gentleman's agreement originally, and he's also getting behind the 'other' F&O game which is a week before ours!

I can see why Dave gets fed up with the politics from time to time, I don't like the way Josh works....or Dave Manning for that matter, but they have the rights to organise games however they please. It's up to the punters to decide whose model they prefer.

No worries, but Josh noticed and asked me to split the topic and wondered who had edited the post.

Trying to start an argument is fine, it's the reaction that counts! ;)

It's an H&S Issue. If Josh doesnt build kit kit to be strong enough, then thats his problem - not to mention he's liable for it if anyone is hurt

It's why CiA's mortars are made from 3.2mm wall steel tubing, with a 4mm thick end cap TiG welded on - not the agricultural irrigation tubing that Josh uses for his mortars/arty (thinner wall, very low grade steel)
